A Northwoods Wisconsin Musky Hunt

July 5, 2019
Yet again another amazing time in the Northwoods of Wisconsin fishing for musky! While this is certainly not a trophy potential body of water, and a 40"+ fish should be considered a trophy here, we come up to Pine Point for the full experience, one that we sure got again this year! Going into this trip, I knew the water levels would be high so light tackle (almost bass gear) was on the top of the list for lures to present. When we got there, we were given the anticipated high water levels and minimal weed growth in areas we have never targeted in our ten years of fishing this area. It made for a fun time exploring these areas but the last day a switch was made to big plastics and a second fish was had at literally the last minute. Hope you all are having an amazing summer this far! If you want to have a full Northwoods experience, while keeping all of amenities close by, including trophy potential waters just a stones throw away, check out Pine Point at www.PinePointWI.com Tight Lines. Stay Dry. - Kyle
