Late Summer 2018 Lake Winnebago Walleye Action!

September 7, 2018
When I got an invite from Dave "Dewey" Knueppel to hit Lake Winnebago in his Lund 219 Pro V GL, you can bet I accepted. What a foggy morning to start, which lead into some high temperatures with a light and variable wind, but persistence paid off. I wish I could have put a "we were here using this" type of line in here but it sure took a variety of baits and water depths to get the fish in the boat. Salmos and Flickers in a variety of sizes... 10-16 FOW... and speeds from 1.6-2.2MPH - I'd sure say a smorgasbord. We ended up getting a ton of fish in the boat, from a variety of species, and were able to ultimately get some nice eaters and a couple larger walleyes in the boat. Not too shabby for the conditions we faced. Hope everyone is having a great summer. Before we know it, hard water will be here! Can't wait.
